Know some important things before doing Halasana

We should practice Halasana Mudra on an empty stomach in the morning. If we are unable to do it in the morning for some reason, we should do it in the evening. But try to do this asana on an empty stomach in the morning. Before doing Halasana, we must defecate first and we should practice this asana only after 5-6 hours of eating food.

The right way to do Halasana

  • First of all, spread your mat on a flat ground and lie down straight on your back.
  • Then take a deep breath and keep both your legs together and then slowly lift your legs upwards.
  • After lifting it first 30 degrees and then 90 degrees, take your legs behind your head.
  • While doing this, lift your back up and exhale. After this, rest your feet on the ground behind your head.
  • Maintain this posture for 20 to 30 seconds and then slowly bring your legs back.

Precautions while practicing Halasana

  • If we are suffering from diarrhea or neck injury, we should not practice Halasana.
  • If you are an asthma patient or have high blood pressure, then you should not do this asana.
  • In the beginning, this asana should be practiced under the supervision of a trainer or guru.
